Haiku

Haiku is a rapidly growing residential haven reflective of its agricultural heritage. Many historic events have taken place in Haiku, including the lodging site of 34,000 servicemen from the 4th Marine Division and the location where Dole Pineapple Cannery, and later Haserot, packaged pineapples from independent growers. Today these buildings have evolved into adaptive reuse and are now known as the Pauwela Cannery. Haiku is an area where creativity and craftiness thrive, uninhibited living flourishes, and the cottage industry is ever-expanding.
